Mira Ghali joined Hawkins in February 2022 as the Director of Accounting. Her primary responsibilities are strategic financial planning, treasury management, leading efforts to enhance reporting, centralizing and streamlining accounting processes, and scaling the accounting function. This includes modernizing current practices in accordance with industry-standard best practices, policies, control systems and tools.
Prior to joining Hawkins, Mira was Controller at Perpetua Resources, an SEC registrant with international operations. Here she took charge of leading 10K/10Q filings and was responsible for all related functions of treasury management, financial and tax reporting, budget and forecast preparation, cost and internal controls.
Ms. Ghali started her career in accounting with KPMG, LLP in San Francisco as an auditor, then held positions as Controller of different companies, including commercial real estate, pharmaceutical start-up, private mortgage insurance, and a semiconductor company where she led a successful $130M international M&A sale. She has over 18 years of accounting experience in both private and publicly traded firms.
Mira earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, East Bay. In addition, Mira has been a licensed CPA since 2008.
