Mindy Gronbeck has been with Hawkins since 2002 and serves as Executive Vice President of Property Operations. Her primary responsibilities are to oversee the Property Management and Marketing departments and administer operational efficiency of processes and management for all company assets.
Before assuming her role as Executive Vice President of Property Operations, Mindy held the position of Director of Property Management within the company. In this capacity, she had oversight of the Property Management department, with responsibilities encompassing the entire portfolio of properties and projects. These responsibilities included lease management, budget preparation and compliance, property maintenance and operations, as well as managing relationships with tenants and vendors.
Additionally, Mindy played a pivotal role in overseeing various company events, ranging from company picnics and Easter egg hunts to the planning of company cruises.
Mindy joined the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Board of Directors in 2018. In collaboration with her fellow board members, her responsibilities include overseeing and providing guidance for the institute’s governance and operations, as well as fostering a strong working relationship with the IREM headquarters staff. Mindy has been nominated as the International Secretary/Treasurer for IREM in 2024.
With a wealth of experience in retail real estate management spanning over 25 years, she brings a deep understanding of the industry. Furthermore, her extensive background includes 12 years of valuable retail management experience, further enhancing her qualifications within the field.
Mindy received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She is certified and holds designations as a CPM, CCIM, CSM, and CRX. Additionally, she has been a member of the IREM since 2005, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 2003 and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) since 2023.
Mindy won the Hawkins soup contest seven times in a row but retired from participating in 2022 as the stress of maintaining such a prestigious title was just too much.
