Mark Mitchell joined Hawkins in 2005 and currently serves as the Director of Development Services. With over 35 years of industry experience, Mark manages the Pre-Development and Construction Departments and oversees project development from inception through project completion. Mark supervises multiple managers and staff, providing oversight on all new developments, including budgets, entitlements, design, contracting, and strategic partnerships. 

Mark has expertise in civil and site construction, national account rollouts, multi-family, commercial, retail, charter school, and mixed-use development. 

Prior to joining Hawkins, Mark began his career working with his father as a commercial general contractor for nearly 20 years beginning as a laborer and progressing through the business as a concrete finisher, concrete foreman, project superintendent, project manager and operations manager where he specialized in national retail tenant and large industrial developments including many projects for Hawkins as the developer. 

Mark received his education in Construction Technologies from Salt Lake Community College with continuing education in commercial real estate principles.
